Ministry of Tourism launches “LOVE SVG” project
MINISTER FORTOURISM, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development, Dr. Kishore Shallow, officially launched the “LOVE SVG” project during a press conference held on Thursday, April 14, 2026, at La Vue Hotel. The initiative is being described as a major national effort aimed at improving tourism infrastructure, upgrading facilities, and enhancing visitor services throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) ahead of the 2026/2027 tourist season.
During his presentation, Minister Shallow explained that “LOVE SVG” is a “six months initiative…to upgrade and enhance the facilities and the services across the country”. The campaign is scheduled to run from May to October, 2026 and will conclude just before the start of the new cruise season in November.
The minister noted that the initiative will focus on identifying and completing key projects across the country. “Ultimately what we are going to do is identify 100 priority projects,” he added. Shallow explained that the programme will address both small-scale improvements, and larger development works that are considered critical to the growth of the tourism industry.
Among the immediate improvements planned under the initiative are upgrades to public tourism sites and visitor facilities.
