iShowSpeed visit cost less than $100,000 for SVG, says Minister of Tourism
WHILE THE Ministry of Tourism is somewhat tight-lipped on precisely how much was spent to pull off the iShowSpeed visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Minister of Tourism Dr. Kishore Shallow, recently said the visit cost the government less than EC$100,000.

Darren Jason Watkins Jr, also known as IShow-Speed or Speed, is one of the world’s most popular YouTubers and streamers, with over 53 million subscribers onYouTube and an accumulative 150 million viewers when TikTok, Instagram and other social media sites are added.
He visited SVG on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 after the government accepted his request to have SVG as part of his 2026 Caribbean tour, a link that came through cultural ambassador and popular Soca artiste, Gamal “Skinny Fabulous” Doyle.
“I won’t give details. It’s no secret, but…it didn’t cost us $100,000 in the end, so it cost us less than $100,000 which I mean, is great value for money…” Shallow said in an interview aired by the Agency for Public Information (API) on May 12,2026.
