Energy Mas Band presents Holidays in SVG for VincyMas

VINCYMAS 2026 will be graced with a presentation of seven holidays that are currently observed by Vincentians.

This is the focus of the production of Energy Mas Band for this year’s carnival, entitled Holidays in SVG.

On display will be sections depicting Whit Monday, Christmas, Carnival, Easter, Emancipation Day, NewYear’s and Independence.

The band will host the official unveiling of its seven sections, on Saturday, April 25,2026 at the Sion Hill Intersection.

Band leader Norman Quashie, is urging masqueraders to select their sections early, stating that the production is one that resonates with the Vincentian public first and foremost, as well with persons of other nationalities.

“We are a band whose philosophy is based on themes that people can identify, hence, ‘Holidays in SVG’ fits into that mode,” Quashie said.

He added that the cost of participation in the Energy Mas Band is not prohibitive.

“Our band is reasonable and affordable, hence we hope that masqueraders will gravitate to the production as we plan to bring the show on the road and in the park,” Quashie told SEARCHLIGHT.

He revealed that the children’s sections are $200 and the adults are $600. Quashie is courting corporate St Vincent and the Grenadines to assist

the band in any way possible as they seek to ensure that VincyMas 2026 is a spectacle.

Energy Mas Band will be operating in the building opposite Randy’s Mini Mart, next to the SVG Automotive Cooperative Society’s gas station.

Ossie Constance is again the band’s artistic designer.
