SVG Consulate in New York courts US-based Vincentians
The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has commenced a structured approach to engage Vincentians in the diaspora in national development.
Consul General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the United States (US), Roland Matthews, described this initiative as leveraging diaspora engagement, resulting in a more structured, result-driven participation in trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Matthews, who spoke to the Agency for Public Information (API) in an interview that also involved the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, and Diaspora Affairs, Fitzgerald Bramble, stated that the SVG-US Consulate is advancing a ‘diaspora investment needs assessment survey’, “to ensure our approach is data-driven and results-oriented”.
