Anglican Church loses second priest one day apart

THE DIOCESE of the Windward Islands this week announced the passing of the Rev’d Canon John Rohim who died in Trinidad on December 1, 2025.

The Anglican cleric was Priest in Charge of the Parish of St. Mary, Bequia with Holy Cross, Paget Farm, St. Michael, Canouan, Mustique and St. Matthias, Union Island. His death follows closely on that of the Very Rev’d Otis Samuel Nichols on November 30. Fr’ Nichols was Dean of the St. George’s Cathedral, and Rector of the Cathedral Parish of St. George and St. Andrew with the Church of the Ascension Sion Hill, Holy Redeemer, Redemption Sharpes and Transfiguration, Lowmans Leeward.The Diocese expressed sadness at the passing of both clerics, in separate releases and have extended condolences to their families.
