Police warn businesses about using objects to block parking spaces

BUSINESS PLACES and private individuals that are in the habit of using objects to block parking spaces in Kingstown and other places for personal use are being asked to stop doing so.

Police officer in charge of Traffic, Transport and Garage, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Parnel Browne told SEARCHLIGHT on Monday, May 19, 2025 that the police will be removing the various objects being used to block the parking spaces, and tickets will be issued as this practise is illegal.

“We have seen that this is a growing concern in Kingstown.We have started a programme where we will go around to the various areas and take up the objects that are placed there by businesses,” ASP Browne stated.
