Bruce will not Represent Leslyn’s accused Killer

LAWYER, ISRAEL BRUCE has made it clear that he will not represent anyone who is charged in connection with the shooting death of Leslyn Davis. Davis, a former exporter of agricultural produce and shop operator is one of three persons who were shot to death by masked gunmen in Belmont last week Friday, May 16, 2025.

Speaking at a meeting of the New Democratic Party (NDP) in Overland on Tuesday night, May 20, 2025, Bruce said, “If the police lock you up for killing Leslyn, please don’t come by me”.

Bruce is also an Opposition Senator and NDP candidate for the constituency of South Central Windward was at the time informing those attending the meeting of the vital role that Davis, 69 years old, played in agriculture.

He remembered Davis as someone who would willingly help farmers find markets for their produce. He said Davis was a close friend and because of this, it would be unethical for him to represent anyone charged in connection with her death.
