Bagga labourer pleads not guilty to wounding charge

KEMANI GOULD OF Barrouallie, charged with wounding a man at Little Tokyo on March, 3, 2025, pleaded not guilty when he appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 28, 2025.

The police said in a release that they arrested 32 year old Gould, a labourer, on April 25, 2025, and charged him with wounding.

Gould is alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 49-year-old labourer of the same address by striking him to the left side of his head with a Hairoun bottle.

When he appeared in court on April, 28, Gould pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was granted bail in the sum of EC$2,000.00 with one surety. The magistrate also issued several orders. Gould is to have no contact with the complainant; must seek the court’s permission before leaving the country; and is required to report to the Barrouallie Police Station every Tuesday between 6:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. His trial date is set for January 21, 20
