Civic responsibility is what citizenship is all about, says PM Gonsalves

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is encouraging Vincentians to take up their Civic responsibility especially with issues related to their community development.

Speaking on radio on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 the Prime Minister said sometimes there are issues and complaints which are brought to his attention which can be directed to the relevant personnel by individuals.

“…citizens also have to use existing mechanisms, because responsiveness and responsibility are obligations of the representative and other office holders, but there’s a civic responsibility, this is what citizenship is all about,” Gonsalves stressed.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also urged people who are entitled to income support who have not received it , to go to the relevant ministries or their parliamentary representative, or to contact the Office of the Prime Minister to have the matter addressed. (API)
