NDP will provide jobs, not temporary solutions – Kishore Shallow
The New Democratic Party’s North Leeward candidate for upcoming general elections, Dr. Kishore Shallow has accused the government of seeking to address youth unemployment in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), which he puts at 48 percent, by offering temporary solutions.
Shallow told listeners to Hot 97.1 FM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, that the approach to youth unemployment in this country is similar to the way the government treats the roads- with patch jobs, but the NDP will create employment for the youth.
“We’re going to give them hope again, because our young people are losing hope. We see the increase of the crime rate in our country. We have to address that, and employment is a great way to address that…offering opportunities like in sports, in agriculture, in tourism…tourism will create jobs.”
