UK is first stop in SVG Invest’s Diaspora Outreach Initiative
The Diaspora Outreach Initiative which will take place this year will see Invest SVG reaching out to people in the diaspora in an attempt to attract as much Foreign Direct Investment as possible;and the first stop will be in the United Kingdom.
“…. we welcome foreign investors and we recognize that Vincentians, both home and abroad are very important to the development of our nation,” Investment Facilitation Services Manager at Invest SVG Shanna Brown-Jacobs commented on Thursday February, 6,2025 as she spoke about some of the investment agency’s plans for 2025.
“…I know you’ve been hearing the buzz about our Diaspora Outreach Initiative…we are reaching out to the Diaspora…in an effort to create an enabling environment for them to not only invest but to do business in their homeland…” Browne-Jacobs told a gathering at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites conference room at Diamond.
She said the tagline ‘Home is where the heart is’ shows that the diaspora is not just a community.
“They are an economic powerhouse that can drive long-term national growth, and we view them as important,” the investment specialist said.
