‘John Doe’ found with gunshot wound to the back in Gibson Corner

A body was discovered at Gibson’s Corner on Wednesday, October 2, around 6 am at a lookout area usually visited by tourists.

Police have launched an investigation into the discovery of the body of the male, referred to as John Doe, who was found with a gunshot wound to the back.

There were no other visible injuries to the deceased. Police say a post-mortem examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

Since the discovery, the Crime Scene Unit (CSU) has processed the scene and gathered valuable evidence that will aid in the ongoing investigation.

Police have asked anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to come forward and help us in maintaining the safety of our community.
