Zada Stephens will attain a ‘royal dream’ if crowned Miss SVG 2024

After waiting for two years before applying to be a contestant in Miss SVG Pageant, Zada Stephens expressed that winning title will be achieving her ‘royal dream.’

The KCCU-sponsored contestant said that a win would mean a lot to her younger self and a lot of women and young girls, especially those who may have body image concerns and doubts about entering a pageant.

“So I would like to be that beacon of hope for all those young girls like myself.”

When Stephens was unveiled at La Vue Hotel in June, she was carrying more than now; but she is not unhappy having to ditch old eating habits, comprising mostly fast foods, for healthier fare.

Stephens told SEARCHLIGHT that she is prepared for all categories in the competition, but is particularly looking forward to the talent segment where she has creative freedom.

“I think on my own, I naturally stand out. I’m the tallest one among all of them, but I think that in the area of talent especially. I’m trying my best to stand out in that area.”

Stephens said she always wanted to enter the pageant but deferred due to COVID-19. She also mentioned her friend Arena’s participation who last year was crowned Miss SVG 2023, as another reason for the delay. Stephens views the pageant as an opportunity for self-development and networking, as she has undergone significant personal growth, particularly in public speaking, thanks to guidance from Tamira Browne, a member of the Beauty Shows Committee.
