No charges laid over shooting incident involving apparent radio talk show host

POLICE SAY that an investigation is being carried out in relation to an incident in which an apparent radio talk show host is seen in public brandishing a gun and explaining why he had shot a man seen on the ground, but no one has been charged.

The incident, captured on video, has been making the rounds on Facebook. In it, the man with the gun is heard to be explaining why he shot the bleeding man who was sitting on the ground. Both the man with the gun and the man on the ground are surrounded by police and onlookers, not far from the Central Police Station.

“This man blast three bottle after me up the road, nearly kill me…about 10 million people see,” the individual with the gun is heard saying. The man on the ground denied knowing the person who was shot. The police took away the gun and instructed the bleeding man on the ground to stay put as he shakily attempted to get up as they summoned medical help. On Thursday, July 18, 2024, the police said they were investigating the matter and had not laid any charges in relation to the incident.
