PM announces changes in ministerial portfolios

An announcement was made today, July 16, by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves that a number of changes will be to ministerial portfolios.

He spoke during a ceremony at the Argyle International Airport where the Premier for Cayman Islands as well as five Heads of Government arrived in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The changes are as follows:

– The Ministry of National Mobilization will be split and Senator Kiesal Peters will now be Minister of National Mobilization and Social Development and she will also take on the portfolio of postal services.

– Orande Brewster will remain Minister of Housing and Informal Human Settlements.

– Frederick Stephenson will head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade including regional integration and the Diaspora Unit.

– The Prime Minister will hold the Public Service portfolio.
