Robinson returns as president of Teachers’ Union

Oswald Robinson was returned to the helm of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union (SVGTU) according to the preliminary returns from its February 27 and 28 annual general elections.

The union said in a release that in addition to Robinson as president, the following were also elected to the union’s executive to serve for the 2024-26 biennium:

First vice president, Vanrick Williams; second vice president, Yokanne Blugh-Holder; general secretary, Ketty Kydd-Rhynd; assistant general secretary, Tishanna Reid; with treasurer in Meriah Samuel; public relations officer, Fiona Charles; and committee members in Anthony Compton, and Reba Cozier.

The elected officers will be installed at the union’s 23rd Biennial Convention which is scheduled for April 2024.
