Dementia Education Day to be hosted this Thursday

Members of the newly formed Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Association will host a community outreach this Thursday, November 23.

The Association states that the Community Awareness Dementia Education Day will be held at the Scouts Headquarters in Arnos Vale.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am and can be attended in person, or via Zoom.

The Association was formed to support individuals living with dementia, their families and the caregivers within the communities.

On Tuesday November 21, the Association will also host a Caregiver Training Program, which will be held from 8:30 am, at the School of Continuing Education at Rose Place.

This training will be for persons who provide care and comfort to persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The community awareness day on Thursday is open to the public, and seeks to raise awareness about the disease.
