FLOW introduces HubTV as part of Christmas promo

Marketing and Communications Manager at FLOW, Nikala Williams says FLOW’s new HubTV is ‘high-class’ and one that consumers, especially football fanatics, will enjoy.

The telecommunications company, FLOW, on Friday, November 10, announced their Christmas promotion themed ‘Christmas is on us’.

Ranique Warren shows HubTV able to rewind

Part of this announcement was the addition of HubTV to the FLOW suite.

The smart TV box will allow persons to pause, rewind and fast forward and even record live TV shows.

HubTv Tech Guru, Ranique Warren said that HubTV is easy to use, requiring users to only ‘plug and play’.

“The installation is very easy, just the power and HDMI, it is also wireless if you don’t want to use the Ethernet part.”

In support of Ranique’s point, Williams said “I am not technical at all, as a matter of fact, when they are testing things for their simplicity at FLOW, they come to me and I find that HubTV connection is so super easy, when we say plug and play, we really mean plug and play.”

The HubTV will have similar packages to the FLOW cable TV box; it also allows persons to enjoy their subscription based streaming services i.e Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video.

Also announced last Friday was FLOW’s ‘Catch the Santa’ promotion which has two components. When persons top up $15 or more or activate a combo plan, they will get a link where they can play ‘Catch the Santa’ in stores or online.

The other component of it is when persons activate any service; that is, if they sign up for a broadband or HubTV, get a postpaid plan, pay a bill on time and in full or purchase a prepaid phone. Activating any of these services will allow them to take part in ‘Catch the Santa’ promotion as well as being entered into a weekly draw to win thousands of dollars in cash, shopping sprees or ham.

In the ‘Catch the Santa’ promo, persons can win grocery vouchers, home appliances, combo plans, FLOW services and electronics all in one sweep by catching as many mini Santa Claus as possible in store or on the road with the FLOW team, also by jumping over as many hurdles as possible in the ‘Catch the Santa’ app online.

At the Christmas promo launch, FLOW introduced the first person to win as part of the promo.

Aliesha Simmons won herself an Amazon Echo dot, a TCL 403 smartphone, a bottle of wine, $900 off her next smartphone, $120 credit, a 30 & 7 day combo plan and one month free HubTV, after being the first person to take part in the weekly ‘Catch the Santa’ draw.

FLOW also announced other Christmas deals and services for their mobile, TV and Internet customers. They also urged persons living on the leeward and windward coasts of the island to look out for the FLOW team going through communities as persons can also win big this way.

Acting Country Manager of Flow St Vincent, Shelley Toney said the company is in the final steps of moving on from the ‘old copper network’ in order for consumers to enjoy a smooth network.

She added that the company is working on getting the Grenadine islands’ mobile network to be similar to the network on mainland.

“We’ve upgraded our mobile network in Canouan to ensure your experience mirrors that of the mainland. To date, we are at a completion rate of 50 per cent, aiming to 100 in a couple more days.”

She added that in Kingstown, “We’ve upgraded three towers and all our cell sites which provide increased capacity, taking your browsing experience to a higher level.”

The company is also hoping to commission another cell site by the end of 2023 so that users can have an enhanced experience.
