Attempted murder investigation upgraded following death of shooting victim

Investigations into a shooting incident has been upgraded after the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Mark Williams, a 31-year-old vendor of New Montrose, was shot by a masked man on Friday, September 22, 2023.

A release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) states that Williams was at a shop in Old Montrose/Block 2000 when he was approached by the gunman who shot at him. He was shot several times in his abdomen.

He was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical attention and died as a result of his injuries on Tuesday, September 26.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Williams’ death has been upgraded from attempted murder to murder.
