Marketplace for PRYME recipients to open at Glen

East St George based small business owners who were recipients of a Promoting Youth Micro Enterprises (PRYME) Grant will soon be plying their trade from the newly constructed marketplace in Glen, following the facility’s official opening on Monday, September 25, 2023.

‘The Shops At Glen’ is the result of a Government-funded initiative (under the PRYME Programme) that has provided a suitable market space for individuals who received PRYME Grants to start or expand their businesses. It aims to further develop the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) by showcasing their business acumen and innovation.

The newly constructed facility includes three building blocks of six shops, and toilet and shower amenities.

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves will deliver the feature address at the opening ceremony, which is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Additionally, remarks will be delivered by the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Information Technology Camillo Gonsalves and the Minister of Transport, Works, Lands & Surveys and Physical Planning Montgomery Daniel.
