UNDP Representative presents Credentials

United Nations Developmental Programme Resident Representative, Limya Eltayeb, on Monday, July 24, presented her credentials to acting Prime Minister Montgomery Daniel at Cabinet Room.

Eltayeb will be here in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the next four to five years and will be working on various UNDP related projects, a release from the Agency for Public Information (API) said.

These projects include those related to water management and biodiversity; creation of a digital platform for the RSVG Police Force; as well as projects related to Climate Change.

Welcoming Eltayeb, the acting Prime Minster said the Government of SVG is delighted to work with the UNDP representative.

Minister Daniel said given the continued impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the volcanic eruptions 2021 recovery projects related to water quality and management will have a positive impact on the nation.

The United Nation Nations Development Programme is the United Nations’ lead agency on international development which works in 170 countries and territories around the world to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality.
