Canadian Bank Notes (CBN), which runs the National Lottery, will be operating the Emerald Valley Casino.

This comes as the National Lotteries Authority is doing an investment at Emerald Valley on lands purchased from National Properties Limited.

Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves told listeners to NBC Radio on Wednesday, June 22 that some infrastructural work is already taking place at the site.

He explained that the work includes refurbishing the cabanas and restaurant and to operate a small casino.

A casino previously operated at the site, however the prime minister said this casino will be a small, modern one which will be operated by CBN.

The new casino will be in keeping with tourism development on the Leeward side of the island, he said.
