RUBIS and a number of other local companies teamed up to recognise fathers last Sunday, which was celebrated as Fathers’ Day.

In a release, Rubis said fathers were given the opportunity to win prizes including Total Lubricants oil change packages, fuel vouchers, car wash packages from Cash Money Auto; KFC meal vouchers; dinner vouchers, compliments Paradise Beach Hotel; car kit including jumper cable, and other prizes at St. Vincent Motors Service Station.

Satisfied and long-standing customer, Mikey Joseph from Arnos Vale said he has been a min van operator for over 30 years and purchased fuel from Texaco which is now Rubis. Asked why he has been a customer for that many years Joseph said, “I have been glued to Rubis for the following reasons – they have the best fuel, and I also love the oil. Texaco was good, but Rubis is even better”.

Truck driver of Green Hill, Headley Browne said since he was a van driver, he has purchased all his fuel from Rubis, Kingstown and Arnos Vale. Browne on receiving his prize of a Rubis umbrella said he always feels like a winner with Rubis. “It is the second time I have won something from the company, and it makes me feel valued as a customer,” he said. Winner of a car kit, Edgerton Medford, a mini van driver from Glen said, “I want to thank Rubis and it is very pleasing to be appreciated. I have been a customer for a long time. I love the gas as it last longer and the service is excellent”.

Elroy Edwards, Rubis Country representative, said the promotion was created with dads in mind.

“Fathers’ day is that special day in the year where we honour the super-hero of the family, our fathers, and in celebrating this wonderful occasion we created this promotion. Its an opportunity to celebrate and honour the men who have embraced the essential role of fatherhood and for embracing the responsibility of nurturing and raising children, and for devotion to their family,” he said. “Also, we recognize the choice many Vincentian father have made of being a Rubis customer”.
