Standard Caribbean Shippers donates to Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre

The Modern Medical & Diagnostic Centre on Monday, April 8, received a donation of a water cooler and flat screen TV with wall mount from the Standard Caribbean Shippers (SCS) Ltd.

The donation materialised as a result of a conversation between Deputy Hospital Administrator Idinger Miller and SCS’s owner Carl Munroe who wanted to find out how his enterprise could better assist and serve patients. 

The Deputy Hospital Administrator said the donated items will help improve the patient experience at the facility. According to Miller, the television will help with interactive education and engagement as well as diversional therapy for the patients while they await services. As for the water cooler, ultrasound patients often need to take in water before the procedure is performed.

This means that they either have to bring water with them or source it somewhere outside of the Complex. The water cooler will make life easier for them. Additionally, water will also be available for patients who are thirsty and need refreshment.

Miller thanked the Management and staff of SCS Ltd. for the donation and said she sees it as the beginning of a long term partnership.

SCS is a New York-based Vincentian-owned shipping company founded in 1999 which has an office in St Vincent and the Grenadines located on Upper Middle Street.
