Miss SVG 2018 to be crowned tomorrow

A new Miss SVG will be crowned this weekend.

The 2018 Miss SVG pageant, which takes place at the Victoria Park tomorrow, will see seven young ladies vying for a full university scholarship, and a chance to wear the crown and be called Miss SVG.

Competing in what may be considered the most anticipated and keenly contested pageant in SVG are: Miss FLOW Solange Fernandez, Miss Vincentian Chocolate Cameisha Foster, Miss Metrocint General Insurance Co Ltd Nazira Graham, Miss GECCU Azanie Lavia, Miss Mustique Company Ltd Criscione Morgan, Miss Lotto Shellisa Nanton and Miss Massy Stores SVG Ltd Morrissia Williams.

Coordinator of the Beauty Shows Committee (BSC) of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Laferne Fraser said the show is expected to flow smoothly and from what she has been observing all the contestants are capable of taking the crown.

The show is expected to begin promptly at 8 pm at the Victoria Park and will see guest performances from the boy band ‘Resonance,’ reigning Ragga Soca king Hance John and singing sensation Sarah Mark.

Alex “Kubiyashi” Barnwell and Miss SVG 2015 DeYonte Mayers will walk patrons through the pageant as masters of ceremony.

The reigning Miss SVG is Jimelle Roberts.
