Registration forms for Ragga, Power Soca monarch now available

Registration forms are currently available for artistes interested in taking part in the semi-finals of the 2018 Ragga Soca and Power Soca monarch competitions.

The forms can be found at The Carnival Development Corporation’s (CDC) Office in Victoria Park.

The closing date for registration is Monday, June 11, and auditions would be held on Tuesday, June 12, at Victoria Park, commencing from 6 pm.

Registration forms must be accompanied by a copy of the song on a CD, which should be ready for airplay.

The semi-finals, dubbed ‘Boarding Pass’, are scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 23, at the decommissioned ET Joshua Airport at Arnos Vale.

The competition will see 25 Ragga Soca artistes and 25 Power Soca artistes compete for a chance to show their prowess at the Soca Monarch finals slated for Saturday, July 7.

Early bird tickets for Boarding Pass are EC$20, while regular tickets are priced at EC$30.

The reigning Power Soca monarch is Delroy ‘Fireman’ Hooper while Hance John is the reigning Ragga Soca king.
