Woman pays surprise visit to brother, son in SVG

While St Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated the opening of the Argyle International Airport (AIA) on Tuesday, at least one woman used the occasion to surprise her family members amidst the excitement.

Decima Sutherland of Westchester, New York, who is originally from Rose Place, decided to surprise her brother Mike ‘Sardo’ Sutherland and her son Percival Sutherland, who worked on the construction of the airport.

“I wanted to surprise them and come in on the first day,” she told SEARCHLIGHT.

Sutherland arrived at the AIA on a LIAT flight from Barbados after travelling there on Caribbean Airlines to surprise her son who thought he was supposed to meet “a lady” at the airport.
