The Retreat forms part of the 65th anniversary of the ECWI’s yearlong activities. The Men of Excellence Retreat 2016 will commence tonight and ends on Sunday at midday.

Some of the highlights of the weekend’s retreat are a presentation of a shared vision by the moderator of the ECWI, Pastor Wade Cater; a panel discussion on “ECWI, from whence we came;” there will be a special session for the ECWI pastors, past and present; games, both outdoor and indoor; and a video presentation. The featured speaker for the retreat is Pastor Cameron Cato of the Port Elizabeth and Paget Farm Evangelical Churches, in Bequia. He will challenge the men to “Arise and Take Responsibility”.

Topics to be discussed include:

o Men arise and take your responsibility as

husband, father, and head of the family

o Arise to the responsibility of shepherd, leader,

and elder

o Arise and look after your personal health

One hundred men in the 14 ECWI assemblies throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines are being targeted, with the objective to equip them to better understand their God-given responsibilities as men, husbands, fathers, leaders and followers of Jesus Christ. The focus is on leadership development, spiritual renewal and social interaction.
