Spectacle Shoppe expands services to second location

The Spectacle Shoppe, on June 30, began offering eyecare services and products at a second location in Fountain, while maintaining their existing location in Kingstown.

The One St Vincent Group Inc’s (OSV Group) headquarters on Vigie Highway, Fountain (next to SOL station), is home to this additional location. This creates history, as it is the first

optical company in SVG to offer its services from more than one location.{{more}}

The Spectacle Shoppe was founded in 1982 by the late Rawle Sutherland; this sparked a long tradition of excellence serving the Vincentian public. More recently the company, under the leadership of the younger Sutherland generation, offered their services to residents of the Grenadine islands, starting with Bequia and continuing to the southern Grenadines.

With the launching of a one-hour service for glasses a few years ago, it has become known as a leader in the optical industry.

In January 2016, The Spectacle Shoppe, along with six other companies, merged to form one super group – One St Vincent Group Inc. By pooling its resources together with other reputable companies, the result is stronger business operation to meet the demands of today’s market, a release from the company said.

One happy customer, Cindy Barker, heaped praise on The Spectacle Shoppe, describing the service as excellent and the location as convenient for her.

“I thought the Fountain branch was a very professional set-up and has a nice environment. The doctor was very good and gave all the options available to me, which made me feel very comfortable and that is a good thing,” said David Gopaul, another customer.

Now rebranded as The Spectacle Shoppe member of OSV group, customers can look forward to more advances in the near future.
