First psychological centre opens in SVG

This country’s first psychological wellness consultancy centre has been established.

The brain child of Dr Jozelle Miller, the VALEO Experience promotes the holistic wellness of the individual, allowing the person to achieve their fullest potential in every area of their lives.{{more}}

A release from the centre says the centre “uniquely addresses the wellness needs for all age groups once the participants can offer accurate feedback for research and assessment.”

Services offered by the centre include: wellness assessments, personality profiling, self-help sessions, individual and group dynamics, conflict resolution, counselling, motivational speaking, time management, relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, performance enhancement and competitive coping strategies.

Dr Miller holds a Doctorate in the area of Health Psychology; a Masters of Science degree in Applied Psychology (specializing in Health) and BSc (first class honours) in Psychology.

For the past 10 years, she has worked in the area of health psychology.

A devout Christian, Dr Miller has a support group for women from broken relationships and a mentorship group for teenage girls.

According to the release, the VALEO has a wide network of trained professionals regionally and internationally, who will offer services as needed. The VALEO will soon be embarking on several projects targeted to address various issues, from divorce to psychological sports management.
