Skarpyon new music video to be released soon

Fans of Shernelle ‘Skarpyon’ Williams can expect the release of a music video for his new song “Never Forget” this week.

The song, which was released for this Carnival season, was produced by Xpert Studios and Digital Empire through Cre8tive Entertainment Group.{{more}}

“It’s really a song that is basically telling you never forget where you come from, which entails the people who grow you, the things that you were taught and the places where you lived,” Skarpyon said in an interview with SEARCHLIGHT.

He also said that the response to the song locally has been great.

“That song to me is one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever written,” he added.

Skarpyon disclosed that he would not be entering this year’s Ragga Soca competition because he had been focusing on the production of his video.

“I’m anticipating the video to be a great one, because we put a lot of work into it,” said Skarpyon.

The artiste, whose career took off in 1990 when he competed in the Junior Calypso competition, has over the years, won Ragga Soca and Calypso Monarch titles, as well as the Road March and New Song competitions.

He said that fans can anticipate more music videos from him. He added that his music will be available for sale on iTunes by the end of the Carnival season. (CA)
