Rodonte Pompey wins April SSBQ

The Secondary School Bible Quiz continues to bring joy to individual students, their families and schools. On Monday, May 9, Rodonte Pompey of the St Vincent Grammar School received a Bible, $200 cash, a $200 gift-voucher, a voucher for a wrapped gift for his parent and a $100 Jujube voucher at his school’s assembly from Joel Jack, organizer of the SSBQ. This was his prize for winning the SSBQ April Quiz.{{more}}

Students from 17 schools in the state took part, with the majority from the Bishop’s College Kingstown, the Dr JP Eustace Memorial Secondary and St Vincent Grammar Schools.

The monthly quiz is designed to help young people to read and understand the Bible. A better knowledge of the word of God can transform lives. Information on the quiz can be seen at www.ssbq.org , on the Secondary School Bible Quiz Facebook page, in the Searchlight or by calling/texting 593-4345.

A special award will be given to any student who has 10 or more entries in the quiz and returns the best CSEC results this year.

Parents and schools are advised to encourage their students to participate regularly.
