SVGMA donates to Dominica relief effort

The SVG Medical Association (SVGMA) on Monday, September 7, handed over a quantity of canned food, cereals, toiletries, dry goods, and personal items to the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) towards the Dominica relief effort.{{more}} The Associaion said the presentation was made by its president Dr Roslyn Ambrose and secretary-treasurer Shannon Durrant Samuel.

These items represent the first batch of contributions from the organization to the people of Dominica, following the passage of tropical storm Erika on August 20. The Association said it had been in direct contact with colleagues Dr Jina Harris Alleyne of the Dominica Medical Board, and Dr Jurado Iglesias, who have kindly returned letters of gratitude to the St Vincent association on behalf of the Medical Association of Dominica.
