11 selected to showcase designs in Courts Catwalk second edition

The catwalk is ready for the second edition of the Courts Fashionable Fashion Show, slated to take place this Friday at the Courts Kingstown Showroom.

Eleven participants have been selected to showcase their talents, using furniture from the Courts Home Furnishings brochure {{more}}as inspiration. The winning designer will take away a cool $2,500, with second place securing $1,000 and third place $500.

Those lined up to have their designs “rip the runway” are Lonique Wallace of Upper Pembroke, Shernicia Mayers of Brighton, Shecania Small of Argyle, Jamal Jacobs of Old Montrose, Duel Ross of Fair Hall, Alexandra Small of Largo Heights, Racquel Bailey of Cane Garden, Olecia Lynch of Layou, Latsha James of Redemption Sharpes, Chenise Hendrickson of Layou and Beulah Sterling of Green Hill.

Apart from the cash prizes for the top places, participants would also receive a $100 Courts voucher for a cash or credit purchase at Courts, as well as a $100 voucher from a top local fashion house.

Courts commercial manager Lisa Veira said the public can look forward to creative designs from the young and talented fashionistas, whom she believes would be the future of the fashion scene in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

“The future of fashion is in good hands, from what we have seen so far from these youngsters and we are inviting one and all to come and have a look at what they have to offer.

“Courts is not only about bringing value and excellent customer service to our customers, we are also about showcasing local talent in its many forms for one and all to see,” Veira added.
