Rotary Club South donates two TVs to Lewis Punnett Home

In an ongoing effort to improve the quality of life of the residents of the Lewis Punnett Home, the Rotary Club of St Vincent South this week donated two 50-inch flat screen televisions to the male and female wards.

The Lewis Punnett Home, which has approximately 100 residents, is located in Glen and is run by the Government for the indigent elderly.{{more}}

The Rotary Club South purchased and installed the new televisions for the residents of the Home, whose smiles conveyed their appreciation of the gesture.

Internet and cable television provider Flow has agreed to partner with the Rotary Club of St Vincent South to provide free cable service to the Home.

The Rotary Club of St Vincent South has also been providing a three-course Sunday lunch once every three months to the Home for the last 15 years as one of its many charitable initiatives throughout the island.

The Club recognized the need for other activities at the Lewis Punnett Home and proposed the idea of the televisions at a recent lunch.

The chapel at the Home was also renovated in recent years by the Rotary Club of St Vincent South in order to improve the quality of the residents’ daily routine.
