LIME brings Fish Fest to Kingstown

Telecommunications provider LIME, last weekend, brought the Fish Fest to Kingstown.

The LIME promenade at the front of their headquarters was on Friday the scene of the highly anticipated and appreciated event, which features fish and other seafood, prepared using various recipes and presented {{more}}to the public by fisherfolk from all across St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Members of the public had an opportunity to taste and experience the dishes that had been featured in the weeks leading up to Fisherman’s Day, which took place on May 25 this year.

LIME sponsored activities were held in Barrouallie, Calliaqua and Rose Place, with LIME promising to take the event to other communities across the island, in an effort to promote healthy eating, and to encourage Vincentians to put a fish in their dish as many times as possible.

Last weekend’s Fish Fest had an extra special visitor. International soca star Machel Montano, who was on the ground to perform at another LIME-sponsored event, Neon Rave, dropped by to partake in the delicacies available on the promenade.

Later that night, Machel told the sold out audience at the Victoria Park that it was the first time in his life that he had eaten blackfish and it was one of the best tasting meals he ever had, all of course, thanks to LIME.
