James makes statement on murder-suicide in Chateaubelair

Unity Labour Party candidate for the North Leeward constituency Carlos James has expressed his personal condolences and sympathy to the families of both victims of the murder-suicide that took place in Chateaubelair last Sunday.

In a media statement, James asked for the families to be kept in our prayers.{{more}}

“As we share in the sadness over the tragic circumstances which took their lives, let us keep both families in our prayers during this difficult time.

“Although this tragic incident has brought a dark cloud over the constituency of North Leeward, we remain strong and resolute in our quest for peace, unity and healing as a constituency and as a nation. The people of North Leeward are filled with an abundance of love, which is evident from the support and camaraderie we saw in the December 2013 floods. As North Leeward mourns, let us remember: ‘One’s life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others … by means of love, friendship, indignation and compassion’.”
