Fogging operations scheduled to continue this week on mainland St Vincent

Fogging operations will continue this week on mainland St Vincent as part of the mosquito control programme of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.

A release from the Ministry said that officers within the Insect Vector Control Unit will conduct fogging operations beginning at 5 p.m. on the following days and places.{{more}}

Tuesday, June 2: Barrouallie (top side), Byera, Gorse and Chester Cottage Wednesday, June 3: Keartons, Walliabou, Georgetown

Thursday, June 4: Dixon, O’Briens Valley, Spring, Caratal, Orange Hill and Rabacca

Home owners and owners of business enterprises in the named areas are required to keep their windows and doors open to allow the fog to take effect.

Parents and guardians are advised that their children are not to run or play near to the vehicle during fogging operations.

Persons who are suffering from any respiratory illnesses are kindly asked to take precautionary measures until the area is fogged.
