Courts comes to Long Wall fire victim’s aid
Kendal Charles says he is not yet a Courts customer, but when he gets back on his feet he will be.
The man, a resident of Long Wall, Kingstown, says he is very grateful for the rapid response he received from the furniture and appliance store, after he lost all his belongings in a fire two weeks ago.{{more}}
Charles, who lived alone in the building occupied by two other tenants, said that of all the others who promised him assistance, Courts was the first to come through, handing over a 20-inch MABE stove on Monday this week.
âI receive help here and there, and I am sure that the others who said they would help me will do it, but Courts came through real quick.
âIt is a great help for me and I feel really grateful,â Charles said.
Currently relocated to Edinboro, thanks to a friend, Charles recounted losing all his possessions on April 1. The plumber by profession is thanking all who have assisted him in his time of need and is appealing for more help and he begins the upward journey of getting his life back together.
Courts commercial manager Lisa Veira, who facilitated the process of providing Charles with the stove, said that it was the least Courts could do to help someone in need.
âWe at Courts take the lives and welfare of every Vincentian to heart, and are proud to help Mr Charles in his time of need. It is not only about our valued customers, but about making everyone feel at home, despite their circumstances,â Veira said.
