Ramjeet covering Summit for Searchlight

SEARCHLIGHT will give coverage of the Conference of the Americas taking place today and tomorrow in Panama City.

Ramjeet covered the fifth summit in Port of Spain, which was attended by the late Hugo Chavez and President Barack Obama, and he also reported on the OAS General Assembly held in in San Pedro Sula in Honduras, five years ago.

All eyes will be on Presidents Castro and Obama, since a better relationship is being discussed between Cuba and the United States.

The Panama Summit will discuss education, health, energy, environment, security and democracy.

St Vincent and the Grenadines is being represented at the Summit by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves and his wife Eloise; Minister of Foreign Affairs Camillo Gonsalves and Ambassador Andreas Wickham.
