Amgine and Digicel partner up for Easter festival

Amgine Entertainment (run by Kevin Robinson and Naticia Lewis) is providing top class entertainment in Bequia this weekend with the support of telecommunications company Digicel.

The group, that is succeeding, to a great extent, in transforming the Easter weekend in Bequia, will this weekend provide entertainment during two events on Bequia.{{more}}

The first event, R.U.M., will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, while the second event A: M-Mystic Dawn will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 6.

R.U.M. is being held at Industry Bay while A: M, the all- inclusive breakfast party will be held at Jack’s Bar, Princess Margaret beach.

These events are supported by Digicel and according to Marketing Executive at Digicel Danielle Cupid, “we are always happy to work along with Amgine as their events are always filled with good clean fun, well planned and cater to a wide cross section of the public.”

Cupid added also that by providing entertainment on Bequia, it is a boost to the tourism product and enables persons to not only enjoy the island but also helps others earn money.

“We know that these events bring something positive to Bequia and its people as well as the many visitors that attend the regatta. We are happy as always to boost the communities in which we operate,” said Cupid.

Commenting about the events, Robinson said that they are geared towards a specific target audience, mostly from St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, St Lucia, Trinidad and New York.

“We are trying to build a product that attracts tourists from all over the world to enjoy Bequia and all its activities during Easter weekend such as all the events and the regatta. We are hoping that we can build a weekend just as amazing as the Carnival/Vincy Mas weekend to boost tourism and provide strong returns to the local economy”, said Robinson.

He added that they are also working closely with the Bequia Onshore Activities Committee to assist in the Committee’s activities and promote a strong partnership.

“Digicel has helped us greatly over the past two years to build the weekend to where it is now and we look forward to this year to make it even bigger and better”, said Robinson who stressed that Amgine Events is all about providing entertainment to patrons both local and foreign through festive events.

“Our main goal is to see Bequia develop into one of the most popular destination in the Caribbean for persons both regionally and around the world. We have always ensured that our patrons who come down for our events enjoy other local activities on the island such as the regatta and the almond tree activities”, stressed Robinson.

Robinson noted also that among Amgine’s plans are to, organize a summer weekend of activities later in the year to attract more income for the local businesses or provide getaway weekend packages that would allow groups affordable packages to come to Bequia and take part in fun, adventurous or just relaxing activities.
