Caregivers graduates from Vinsave training
The Vinsave Child Development Training Centre held its Graduation Ceremony on November 19 for Early Childhood Caregivers who completed training in Early Childhood Education in 2013-2014. Sixteen young women received Certificates of Satisfactory Completion of the Course.{{more}}
The training programme was funded by the Mustique Charitable Trust in the sum of $34,000. Awards were given to Sherry-Ann Ollivierre of the Little Learners Pre-school, for the Most Outstanding Student; and Susan Joseph of the Salvation Army Pre-school, for the Most Improved Student.
Featured speaker, Fitz Jones, Labour Commissioner, speaking on the theme âUplifting the Children of Tomorrow,â urged the participants to âbe role models for tomorrowâs children, as the present determines the future. He also encouraged them to inculcate in the children what they themselves have learnt from their own lives.â
Lavinia Gunn of the Mustique Charitable Trust, Gwenneth Cambridge, senior education officer, Early Childhood Development, and Janice Fraser, executive director of Vinsave, all offered remarks at the ceremony. The Course Report was presented by Jacqueline Robinson-Massiah, training coordinator. The graduates presented in drama and song.
