Reesa wins WE FM Civics Competition
Reesa Douglas, a student of the St Maryâs RC School, is the winner of the WE FM 2014 inaugural Civics Competition.

Reesa registered a score of 10 out of 10 in the first round and eight out of 12 in the second round.
Second place went to Chelsea James, a student of the Lodge Village Government School, with an overall score of 16.
Chelsea registered a score of eight out of 10 in the first round and eight out of 12 in the second round.
In third place was Darron Edwards, a student of the Questelles Government School, with an overall score of 13 points.
Darron registered a score of seven out of 10 in the first round and six out of 12 in the second round.
The students answered various questions relating to National History, Independence and Heritage.
The winner of the competition, Reesa Douglas of the St Maryâs Roman Catholic School, received an Alcatel Smart Phone from LIME, soft drinks from the St Vincent Brewery Ltd and the winning plaque, which was sponsored by Cecil Ryan.
The overall objective of the competition was to build a sense of national pride within the students, as they had to show off their knowledge of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The competition was the brainchild of WE FMâs Demion McTair.
Assistant programming director of WE FM Donnie Collins said that the station will continue to implement more programmes like the Civics Competition to raise consciousness and to reach out to the community.
The competition was also held to commemorate this countryâs 35th anniversary of political independence from Britain.
