Coreas sponsors SVG Players’ ‘Green Flash’

2013 band of The Year Champs SVG Players International has received sponsorship of a section in their 2014 productions, compliments Coreas Hazells Inc.{{more}}

The section, called “Green Flash,” will be identified with the Johnny Walker Black brand of which Coreas Hazels Inc is the local distributor.

This will be one of 10 Sections in the band’s production of “Beyond the Rainbow,” Other sections include Galaxy of Stars, New Horizons, Blue Sky, Sunset, Aurora, The Dawn, Silver Lining, Rainbow Children and Venus the Morning Star.

Coreas have sponsored sections on at least five previous occasions.

The cheque was received by Ricardo “Puzzle” Grant and was handed over by Ezzie Roberts, Marketing and Communications coordinator. Roberts said “Coreas continues to make contributions to Carnival through assistance to various components. SVG Players International has been producing mas of a very high standard over their years in existence. It’s certainly a pleasure for us to be able to offer assistance through this sponsorship.” He continued, “We know that revellers will enjoy our various liquor brands while they display their costumes on Carnival day,” he concluded.

The mas tent is located at Frenches, opposite Ever- ready Funeral Home. Persons interested in playing with the band are invited to make a visit to the tent or call 530 7707 or 528 8463.

SVG Players International have won the prestigious Band of the Year title on five occasions. All other categories in mas competitions have been won by this band over their 14 years in competitions. The band’s latest victory was their 2013 Band of the Year title with their production of “The Garifuna History.”
