Police investigating fatal accident at Mt St Andrew
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal motor vehicular accident which occured at Mount St Andrew public road on Monday.
The accident involved motor vehicle R 6952, owned by Kurtis Lewis of Green Hill and driven by Gregory Jason Diazsuarez, {{more}}a 34-year-old engineer from the Dominican Republic, who was residing at Sion Hill.
The Suzuki Escudo overturned at about 3:25 p.m..
Diazsuarez, who was an employee of telecommunications company Ericsson, died on the spot.
The four other occupants of the vehicle, all Ericsson employees, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, then discharged.
The deceased man was said to be the leader of the team of employees in the vehicle. They were descending the mountain after a dayâs work at the LIME cell phone site at Mt. St Andrew.
The technicians are in St Vincent and the Grenadines as part of the Ericsson team working on the roll-out of mobile communications standard 4G.
Ericsson took over the technical services of LIME in February 2014.
