Level Gardens Pre-school receives colourful surprise

The students of the Level Gardens Pre-school and Day Care Centre were in for a colourful surprise when they turned up for sessions on Monday this week.{{more}}

Thanks to a donation of paint and some volunteerism from staff members of Scotiabank, the students were greeted with paintings of some of their favourite cartoon characters adorning the walls of the building.

The Scotiabank staff worked along with parents and teachers of the students, as well as an associate of local graphic company McAllister Designs, to add a fresh coat of paint and brighten the children’s days.

Julia Branch, principal of the school, expressed gratitude for the work that was done at the institution, claiming that the children were very excited when they saw the paintings.

The Level Gardens Pre-school and Day Care is one of four schools to receive a touch of colour from Scotiabank, through its Bright Future Programme.

In May, the Scotiabank staff will paint the Little Angels Pre-school in Kingstown Park, followed by two other schools in upcoming months.

The Scotiabank Bright Future Programme unites all of the bank’s charitable efforts under one umbrella, as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Through the Bright Future Programme, the bank works independently, as well as partners with other groups and organizations to give hope to the children of St Vincent and the Grenadines, by supporting education, sports, arts and culture, and the environment, as well as by helping the underprivileged and abused.
