NTRC to hand over computer lab to DTVE

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will hand over a new state-of-the-art Computer Lab to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) next week.{{more}}

The donation of the lab falls under the NTRC SMART project and is being funded by the NTRC Universal Service Fund.

The SMART Project was implemented to facilitate the establishment of the necessary infrastructure and online learning platforms at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College to enable it to offer its existing courses and programmes online and in real time. Additionally, under this project, two new programmes will also be delivered: one in Mobile Application Development and the other in Cyber Security, a release from the NTRC said.

The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education in Arnos Vale. Tuesday’s launch will see the feature address being delivered by Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and IT.
