A large number of persons from Troumaca and surrounding villages came out to join the choir in celebrating this festive season. The choir performed traditional Christmas carols, as well as contemporary Christmas songs. These concerts are part of the company’s community outreach programme and have been part of the annual calendar of events for many years.

Participation from among the attendees was high, as members from various church groups, children and adults belted out melodious tunes. Another highlight of the Christmas concert was an exciting performance from the Rose Hall drummers.

The VINLEC choir will continue community outings on Saturday, December 7 in Georgetown in Jones area, Sunday, December 8 at the Layou Waterfront and on Sunday, December 15 in Mesopotamia, near to the bridge. Each concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. The concerts are being held under the theme “Spreading the Love, Joy and Peace of the Christmas.”
