Digicel customer off to London in ‘Win with Chelsea’ promotion
Digicel customer Beverly Palmer has won herself an all-expenses- paid trip to London, England, compliments Digicel and the companyâs âWin with Chelseaâ text to win promotion.{{more}}
Palmer will join 10 lucky customers from across the region who each won the trip to London, England, to see soccer team Chelsea take on Manchester United live at Stamford Bridge.
âI was so surprised when I got the call telling me that I had won, because I forgot about the text that I had sentâ, said Palmer, who added that she only sent one text, âso when I got the call, I was going to work and I was so surprisedâ.
The winners from the 11 Digicel markets will take the all-expenses-paid trip to London in January. They will spend three nights in a four-star hotel, receive spending money and prime seats at Stamford Bridge to see Chelsea FC take on Manchester United on Sunday, January 19.
Palmer said that she sent a text with her name and email address to 4748 during the promotion, which ran for approximately three months and ended on October 27.
âI am so excited. I like football and although I am more of a Real Madrid and Barcelona fan, I will watch any game,â said the Buccament resident, who added that this will be her first time in England, although she has a sister that lives there.
âI am looking forward to the trip, but I donât really like the cold weather,â she said.
The Digicel âWin with Chelseaâ competition took place in the 11 countries in which the Digicel Kick Start soccer program takes place, namely: Antigua and Barbuda, Bermuda, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
