Former journalist Gerald Primus, formerly of Hopewell, Mesopotamia, was found dead at his home in Clare Valley on Sunday.

Up to press time, it was unclear what was the cause of death; however, Primus was a known diabetic.

Before entering the media, Primus served in the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force. He then worked as a reporter at Cross Country Radio before getting into the print media at The Vincentian newspaper, where he was senior reporter.

Primus married in 2006, but later divorced. He has no children.
